Tekashi 6ix9ine wants that Billboard Hot 100 No.1 so bad. I don't blame him. If he gets the No. 1 spot on

Billboard without any radio play, that will be a game-changer, and it gives him an excuse to talk more sh*t to other rappers. Also, we have seen recently over the years, artists are increasingly being defined by if they have a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 (well, some). So, Tekashi 6ix9ine is calling out Billboard for what he believes is their attempts to manipulate the charts so that Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande's "Stuck With U" debuts at No. 1.

"I KNOW YOU FCK'N LYING" (in my Queen Nella voice)

Listen to 6ix9ine explain why he believes that Billboard is manipulating their own charts.

On Instagram, Tekashi 6ix9ine claims that what he is showing is a Billboard Hot 100 forecast that all the labels received yesterday. On that forecast sheet the Top 5 on the Hot 100 Charts are:

  1. Doja Cat feat. Nicki Minaj - "Say So" Remix

  2. 6ix9ine - "Gooba"

  3. The Weeknd - "Blinding Lights"

  4. Megan Thee Stallion feat. Beyonce "Savage" Remix

  5. Justin Bieber & Ariana - "Stuck With U"

Allegedly, last night Justin and Ariana's labels submitted 60K units before the deadline. Now, the new forecast has the top 3 are as follows:

  1. Justin Bieber & Ariana Grande - "Stuck With U"

  2. 6ix9ine - "Gooba"

  3. Doja Cat feat. Nicki Minaj "Say So" Remix

So, "Stuck With U" jumped 12 pts. to snatch the #1 spot from the "Say So" Remix. Now, apparently, there is an audit being called for by Doja Cat's label. I don't blame them if this info. is true. I thought "Stuck With U" was a song for charity?

Let's take a trip back to 2018.

Y'all remember when 6ix9ine's album "Dummy Boy" was battling it out for the No. 1 slot with Travis Scott's "Astroworld"? Travis ended up having that No. 1 album, but not without there being controversy.

While locked up, Tekashi did a surprise drop of "Dummy Boy" after the album leaked. It was projected

to go #1 despite only 3 days of charting. Well, Travis Scott was not having any of that. Travis started selling T-shirts, keychains, and beach towels, which happened to come with a copy of Astroworld in an attempt to snag that No. 1 slot from Tekashi 6ix9ine. We all know that when it comes to how Travis Scott sells merch or tour passes without a fck'n tour, Billboard doesn't give a sh*t.

However, a problem arose when Billboard announced that Nielsen Music was looking into the sales numbers "due to a processing discrepancy." Billboard decided that a recount was not needed, and they were going to go with the original data, which put Travis Scott at #1.

I never understood why Billboard couldn't just go over the numbers again if they already admitted there may be some discrepancy. Still, we all know that having Tekashi going #1 after his arrest was probably not what they wanted. So, why wouldn't people be suspicious of Billboard possibly manipulating their charts now?

If Tekashi goes No. 1 or even top 10 without radio play, that will expose that artists don't need radio/DJs as much as they think they do. A lot of musicians have complained about the lack of radio support. If rappers and singers see an artist bypass radio and still top Billboard, that can spark a musical revolution. That is why I always promote Rolling Stone's Charts. They don't use radio play, and it shows Billboard we got options.

Also, since Billboard does use radio play in their calculations, I would suspect that there are relationships with radio stations/DJs that would benefit them more if anyone but Tekashi topped the charts.

Now, we all know that steams can be manipulated too....but that's another for another day, another post.
