According to TMZ, Jada Pinkett-Smith denies that she and August had an affair that was approved by Will Smith. So, that means y'all was fck'n behind Will's back...OK!
August Alsina sat down with Angela Yee for an in-depth interview about this new album, documentary,
and much more. During one part of the conversation, Angela Yee asked August about his rumored relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith. August admitted to the relationship but objected to his character being in question over it. He told Angela, "I've lost money, friendships, relationships behind it. I think it's because people don't necessarily know the truth." August said that he had a conversation with Will Smith and got his blessing. His relationship with Jada occurred after Will and her transformed from a marriage to a life partnership.
It's not like we have never heard about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith being in an open relationship. People shamed/punished August Alsina because people felt he broke up a "happy home," not realizing that his being with Jada made both Will and Jada happy. Will Smith probably couldn't be their emotionally the way that Jada needed. That is why she is still stuck on 2 Pac after so many years. Let me stop being petty.
"WALKING AWAY BUTCHERED ME"
What broke my heart during this interview was how broken that relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith left August. Angela Yee asked if August was disappointed that Jada never addressed the relationship. August replied, "I never even committed to the thought of that because I'm responsible for myself." August went on to say, "I never been in love in that kind of way, so much so, that being intertwined in that way, walking away butchered me." Whew, Chile!
I don't know why I get this feeling like Jada was this older woman preying on this young August Alsina and toying with his emotions. Both are adults, so they are responsible for their actions, but I get this "Black widow" vibe from Jada. She was in control of the relationship and drained the fck out of August.
Oh, and Angela worked that sad Hallmark TV series music.
