According to Variety, a group of over 30 artists, managers, industry executives, agents, and attorneys have joined together to form the Black Music Action Coalition. This is an advocacy organization whose mission is to uphold Black Lives Matters in the music industry. Their first action was to write an open letter to the industry (read below).
A wide range of artists have endorsed this coalition like Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Normani, Rico Nasty, Kehlani, Asian Doll, and much more.
This got me thinking about that Rolling Stone article I posted about. We will see if this will actually do something or is just window dressing.
