So, in the midst of me eating my popcorn as Youtubers accuse each other of smear campaigns and spreading false narratives, I came upon Consciouz TV. I had seen him maybe once or twice before but never really listened to a whole show. However, his title "Keeping Your Distance From Other Youtubers & Social Media Influence!" caught my attention.
As I am listening to him, I turn into Saweetie saying. "I Know Dats Right," because he is preaching from the Bible of Clock'n these hoes. He wasn't saying anything that wasn't obvious or never said before; however, he said it in a way that needed to be said and by another YouTuber. I also like his speaking voice.
But, you know all good things must come to an end, and he lost me a bit when he started using Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj's beef as an example. I only say a bit because his overall point is what Lil Kim's team should have told her and what I was praying Nicki Minaj's team was telling her.
Now, I have spoken numerous times about how I feel about Lil Kim's neverending one-sided feud with Nicki Minaj. In my opinion, a lot of Lil Kim's anger stems from two places:
Her jealousy that Nicki Minaj did what she wished she could have done (i.e., Be successful without being hypersexual)
Nicki Minaj having a relationship with Lil Wayne that was not based on an abusive sexual relationship where he controlled her with an "iron fist." Nicki Minaj was allowed to write her own rhymes and go Pop, even though that was not the route Young Money thought she should go. Nicki Minaj controlled her own destiny.
So, I will not do my normal analysis and breakdown of other's talking points because by now, readers should know which points I would find valid and which points I would dispute.
"So that you don't have to be uncomfortable and deal with your identity crisis, you start to try to eat away and destroy the person you're looking at who makes you confused about who you are." - Consciouz TV
I want y'all to tell me if you find any validity in what he says. Do you agree with his view on where Lil Kim or Nicki Minaj went wrong?
