I-Oops: TEKASHI 6IX9INE GETS SENTENCED TO 2 YEARS IN PRISON

Today, Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to 2 years in prison, 5 years supervised release, 300 hours of community service, and a fine of $35K. Tekashi's sentence is minus the 13 months he has already served. So, Tekashi is expected to be released in 11 months, late 2020.

Many assumed Tekashi 6ix9ine would get time served and released today, but Judge Englemayer had other plans. When the Judge asked the AUSA if there is any reason why Tekashi should not be

sentenced, I felt Tekashi should not plan on being home for Christmas. The judge outlined how many of the crimes that Tekashi helped with, probably would have been found out. Let's not forget that there were other snitches working with the FEDS, not just Tekashi. So, the judged really downplayed his role in helping take down Nine Trey.

The judge also reminded Tekashi 6ix9ine that due to his cooperation that no gang will work with him again.

I feel like the judge already planned to give him time no matter what was said in court, but the victim impact statements did not help at all. The judge also countered 6ix9ine's claims that he was brainwashed by the gangs by stating, "They got something out of it, but so did you." Tekashi 6ix9ine using the gang to get even with rivals was not necessary and the judge pointed that out to him.
