Last week, Idris Elba, announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Twitter. He wrote,
"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel OK, I have no symptoms so far, but I have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home, people, and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I'm doing. No panic." He is one of the many celebrities that have been vocal about testing positive with the virus.
Idris Elba received a lot of support for speaking out, especially considering there were those putting Black people in danger by spreading tales that Blacks could not get the coronavirus. Awareness is power, stupidity is dangerous.
Today, Idris Elba, clapped back at those social media conspiracy theorists, like Cardi B, who are suggesting that celebrities are being paid to say they have the virus. He says, "the negativity around test shaming is counterproductive," and the idea that people like him are being paid to say they have the virus is "complete bullsh*t."
The video that has people calling bullsh*t on Cardi B is one where she suggests that all these
celebrities coming out saying they have COV19 looks like a flat tummy tea commercial. Didn't Cardi get a warning from the FTC for her deceptive tummy tea ads? Anyway, Cardi B has been on a mission to prove she is not falling off by attempting to go viral by speaking on hot topics every fck'n day. Well, Ole Girl did take one day off to accuse Eliza Reign and Rah Ali of trying to set Offset up to cheat on her. I think she regrets that move...LOL.
What is so hypocritical is that Cardi B posted a PSA about the coronavirus on her Instagram story. If this is all propaganda, which is what she is suggesting, then why do the PSA? Are you being paid Cardi B? If she was using humor to educate people on the virus, then cool, but she is spreading bullsh*t in a desperate attempt to do go viral. Welp, she will go viral with this story...YIKES!
Is she waiting to see her people come out and talk about coronavirus before she takes it seriously?
