Fans on Twitter are side-eyeing Jay-Z after it was announced he has a song with the late-great Nipsey Hussle coming out this Friday on the "Judas and the Black Messiah" soundtrack. This happens to be the same day that Nas has a new Hit-Boy produced track, E.P.M.D, dropping.
No one is claiming that Nas owns a day, but there is a pattern of Jay-Z always dropping projects or a song on the same day as his former rival. Peep the history below:
Nas - Stillmatic - Dec. 18th, 2001
Jay-Z - Unplugged - Dec. 18th, 2001
Nas - Street's Disciple - Nov. 30th, 2004
Jay-Z - Collison Course - Nov. 30th, 2004
Nas - Nas Greatest Hits - Nov. 6th, 2007
Jay-Z - American Gangsta - Nov. 6th, 2007
Nas - Nasir - June 15th, 2008
Jay-Z - Everything Is Love - June 15th, 2008
Nas - The Lost Tapes 2 - June 19th, 2019
Jay-Z - The Lion King - June 19th, 2019
Nas - E.P.M.D. - Feb. 12th, 2021
Jay-Z - What It Feels Like - Feb. 12th, 2021
When told about this pattern, Nas responded, "That some coincidences." LOL
You know Twitter was going to call Jay-Z out.
