Maroon 5 Drops "Beautiful Mistakes" Featuring Megan Thee Stallion
Maroon 5 and Megan Thee Stallion dropped their much talked about collab "Beautiful Mistakes." A lyric video accompanied the song, no word on the official music video yet.
After listening to the whole track, I see why they went and got Megan Thee Stallion. That song needed some oomph to it. Hot Girl Meg was the highlight on this average pop track. I felt Meg blended better on this song than she did on her collab with Ariana Grande on the 34+35 remix. Where I felt like Megan did not elevate Ariana Grande's track, I feel like Megan is the reason to listen to this song. When she gives us melodic Meg at the end, that sealed it for me. I was like, "YES! GO POP MEGAN."
Yeah, bet you miss my love, all in your bed (Bed)
Now you're stressin' out, pulling your hair (Hair)
Smelling your pillows and wishin' I was there (I was there)
Slidin' down the shower wall, lookin' sad (Sad)
I know it's hard to let go, I'm the best (I'm the best)
Best you ever had and best you gon' get (Gon' get)
And if we break up, I don't wanna be friends (Be friends)
You're toxic
Maroon 5 gave Cardi B a #1 on a song, Girl Like You, where she really was not needed. Let's see what happens with Megan on a single where she is needed and did what she had to do.
