Megan Thee Stallion Proves She Has That Crossover Appeal On BTS's "Butter" Remix

Like most Black artists stuck on that "urban music" plantation, Megan Thee Stallion understands that to become a superstar and eventually have her name mentioned alongside some of the greats, she has to add that "pop feel appeal" in the words of BBD to her catalog.
Megan has already found Pop success with features on Ariana Grande's 34+35 remix, which peaked at #2 on Billboard, and Maroon 5's "Beautiful Mistakes," which just left the Top 40 after 24 weeks on the charts.
Now, Megan is taking on K-Pop...Uh??? Last night, BTS released the remix to their smash hit "Butter"
featuring the Houston Hottie, but not without some drama. The song almost did not come out due to Megan's label, 1501 Entertainment, trying to block the collaboration by claiming it's not a good career move. But, Megan's team argued that it would help grow her brand internationally. Megan ended up taking another court win, but not before having to put her money where her mouth is and bet 100K that the song will be a success. That is another topic within itself that we may need to dig deeper into at a later time.
So, what do I think about Megan's "Butter" remix??? I believe this is her best Pop collab to date. Considering that I really don't care for the song as a whole, not saying it's a bad song; it's just not for me; I enjoyed hearing Megan on it. Where I did not feel Ariana's song was elevated by having the rappers on it, Megan added that "umph" to "Butter" that I felt was needed. Also, she showed she does not have to be explicit to deliver a memorable rap verse. PG Megan...Hmmm. I found myself actually looping her part over and over. Check out her verse below:

Now, while I listen to Baby Keem and Kendrick's "Family Ties," I hope all you Pop/K-Pop fans steam and buy this song, so Carl Crawford gets hit with another "L."

Love Megan buuuuttt Issa a no for me. She really went to court over this shit ass record smh her label was right in saying that it wouldn’t be a good move for her career because it’s simply not good. I understand the goal of doing it to potentially broaden her fanbase and become international. However Megan struggles heavily with versatility and doing pop records. It’s mad funny to me that everybody in the comments is tryna throw shade at Nicki & the Barbs in the comments, when at least if Nicki would’ve been on the remix it would’ve hit #1 on iTunes. Despite BTS Army always killing digital sales, this remix is flopping hard af, it’s not even on…
I wish we can get to a point where the other fanbase opinion‘s are ignored. (Am guilty 😩😩) They are Irrelevant. I am not a Kpop fan but I support Meg 🐎 so I will support this record 🤣🤣🤣.
It’s a fun, cute song. She did what needed to be done. BTS fans seem to love it. Others suggesting that different artists should’ve been featured are just mad because BTS didn’t call their fav. They see that Meg has the potential to nab a easy #1 and their seething. I’ll be glad when that feature😎🥴 drop so can fan bases can stop using Doja as a weapon.
