Megan Thee Stallion Says She Will Be Up There With The OGs In Female Rap When She Is Done

Megan Thee Stallion graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar Legacy Issue. The magazine says that she is at the top of her artistic game, she's finishing college, and defending her right to be young, Black, and free: "Can't nobody tell me how to be the Hot Girl."

WHERE IS MY STAGE?

In the cover story, "The Importance of Being Megan Thee Stallion," Megan spoke about missing the stage, but not the stage y'all thinking about. She is talking about the graduation stage. On Megan's birthday, she revealed she will be graduating from Texas Southern this Fall. In the interview, she felt kinda bummed that no will be able to see her walk across the stage to accept her diploma due to the pandemic.

“I was super nervous because I’m not an introvert, I’m a person that likes to be around people, interact.”

I'M NOT AN INTROVERT

When asked about being on lockdown, Megan, revealed she was nervous, not because of COVID, but because she is not an introvert and likes interacting with people, LOL. This is so Megan. I remember when she was hosting the morning countdown with Ryan Seacrest. Megan said that she can't wait for COVID to be over cause she is going to be in everyone's face because she loves people. I remember thinking the industry will try its best to change that, and it's sad. People don't know how to react to an extroverted female rapper.

“I feel like when it’s all said and done, when people want to talk about female rap … they are definitely going to have to put my name up there with the OGs.”

SAY MY NAME, SAY MY NAME

Another part of the interview I enjoyed was when Megan Thee Stallion let it be known that she will be one of the greats in female rap. Megan said, "I feel when it's all said and done when people want to talk about female rap...they are definitely going to have to put my name up there with the OGs." The only thing I would change is limiting it to female rap only. She should just say rap, period. Manifest that shit.

POP, WHERE?

The interviewer mentioned that along with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, she charts like a Pop artist and wondered if Megan considers herself a Pop Star. Megan responded, "I'm a rapper. Rap will always be my heart. That's really what I love to do." Hopefully, that ends the Pop experiment her team tried to do on "Good News."

Speaking of music, Megan said, "My next project, I'm not going to tell you all who it's going to be, but she got something."
