Megan Thee Stallion Tells Gayle King About The Morning She Was Shot In The Hollywood Hills

Updated: 4/25 at 9:32 AM PST

The full interview between Gayle and Megan Thee Stallion is out.

OVERALL

This interview did what it was meant to do. The same people who went around screaming there are two sides to every story spent 2 years trying to bury Megan's side. Today that stopped.

Instead of taking her story to the blogs, Megan took her story to America and potential jurors. Through her summary of what happened that night, she reminded people she is the victim, not Tory Lanez. She reminded people that the doctors were the ones who informed her and the cops that she had bullet fragments...oops I mean still has bullet fragments in her feet, as she tried protecting the others. It's interesting because it sounds like if the doctors would have come back a few minutes later, then the cops would have been gone and maybe not had enough info to investigate that night. Oh, and Gayle had the medical report, it was not just Megan's word.

I also found it interesting that it took this long for the Kelsey text to be leaked. I mean we know Tory was texting up a storm from what was said soon after the shooting, but besides what a mutual friend said about Kelsey, there was never talk about her texting Megan's bodyguard. Again, Gayle had the text message it was not just Megan making claims.

Now, about Kelsey. Gayle reached out to her invisible attorney and actually got a comment. The comment was nothing basically, but the fact that she got a response. I mean this attorney stayed silent as Shawn Holley pointed the blame at his client, which is the oddest behavior by an attorney IMO. But, this interview gets him/her to comment? I guess being on Gayle is more of a flex than being in TMZ.

I found the question about sexual relations odd, not because of Gayle, but because of the way Megan answered. I highly doubt it was a surprise question, so Megan chose to answer it that way and I am lost as to why...LOL. I don't get it. I don't know if she has something coming in regards to that narrative, so she wanted to be coy on purpose cause otherwise; I think being straightforward would have been better.

Oh, and Megan does not mention being beat up...

Tomorrow, on CBS Mornings, Gayle King will air her interview with Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion where they discuss the morning of July 12th, 2020, when Megan was allegedly shot by mimic artist Tory Lanez in the Hollywood Hills.

In a preview, Megan tearfully confirms pre-trial testimony that Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, yelled, "Dance, Bitch!" before firing MULTIPLE shots at her. Meg also reveals more detail about the much gossiped about argument that led up to the shooting, "It was an argument because I was ready to go and everyone else wasn't ready to go."

The full interview will air Monday, April 25th at 7 AM.

TRANSCRIPT:

Gayle: There was an argument in the car?

Megan: It was an argument because I was ready to go and everybody else wasn't ready to go. But that's, like normal friend stuff, like. Like we fuss about silly - silly stuff all the time. But...I never put my hands on anybody. I never raised my voice too loud. Like this is one of them times where it was like it shouldn't have got this crazy.

Gayle: It shouldn't have escalated to - the way that it did.

Megan: Right. So I get out the car and it's like everything happens so fast and I hear is this man screaming. And he said, "Dance, Bitch!" And he started shooting. And I am just like, "Oh, My God." Like he shot a couple of times. And I was so scared.

Gayle: So, is he in the car shooting from the car, Megan? How...

Megan: He is standing up over the window...shooting. And, I didn't even want to move. I didn't want to move too quick. Like, I'm like "OMG" if I take the wrong step. I don't know if he gonna shoot something that's like super important, and I don't know if he could shoot me and kill me, like.

Gayle: Were you afraid for your life at that time?

Megan: I was really scared cause I have never been shot at before.

THE TRUTH NEEDS REPEATING

People may wonder why Megan Thee Stallion is now doing an interview on a case starting in approx. 5 months.

Well, for 2-years, Tory Lanez has dragged out his case so he can wage a disgusting smear campaign against the woman he is not only accused of shooting but a woman who tried to spare him.

The misogyny baked into Hip Hop caused an embarrassing amount of "journalists" and blogs to look the other way as he repeatedly violated restraining orders and gag orders. Tory was allowed to make posts about "feet" mocking Megan's injuries and constantly post pictures of him making gun gestures with his hands, as fools like Ebro publicly announce they don't want to see Tory go to jail.

It is no secret that Tory uses multiple bloggers, desperate for any proximity to celebrity, to spread misinformation in an attempt to sway potential jurors and win in the court of public opinion.

With all the propaganda pushed out about this case, with little to no pushback, we don't really know what people believe. However, history has shown that the public likes to hear directly from the accused and/or the victim. No going through sources that go through blogs. No singing about it. GP wants to see you tell your side of the story without getting cottonmouth.

By doing this interview, in this way, at this time, Megan is giving the truth a fighting chance. She gave the interview to Gayle King, a Black woman who is respected and has a much wider audience than the blogs Tory Lanez is using. Also, this is must-see TV because despite what some say, Megan has not spent 2 years talking about this case. This will be her first on-camera interview speaking on this post charges. So, there is no fatigue factor with Megan like there is with Tory Lanez and his subliminal shots.
