Mulatto, who recently dropped her debut album, Queen Of Da Souf, did an interview with TT Torrez for "Artist Quarantine." Mulatto spoke about her start on Jermaine Dupri's "Rap Game," her growth as an artist, working with one of her fave rappers, Gucci Mane, and wanting to work next with Nicki Minaj.
When asked who she would want to work with Mulatto replied:
"I love Nicki. I love Nicki. I was in 5th grade when Nicki came out. Heavy impact on the industry and I cut my hair in a bang, I had the pink highlights, I stood in line for Pink Friday, like crazy about Nicki; so I feel like she definitely...um...you can credit her for like inspiration to me because like southern, I'm from the south so like I grew up on Gucci, TIP, Outkast, Jeezy, so I already got that in me naturally. But, listening to Nicki and just loving Nicki so much, that's where it's like, "Ok, she's southern but she got a little lyrical edge to her, like, that flow switch up or whatever." So, like, I credit Nicki for that because I'm crazy about Nicki."
This is one of the best compliments, next to inspiring girls to push their pens, I think Nicki Minaj can receive. When one of the top up-and-coming female rappers list you as the reason, they are LYRICAL AND SWITCH FLOWS, that is the type of impact you want to have on the game. I pray Nicki Minaj sees this interview.
I wouldn't mind seeing two of Gucci Mane's girls linking up.

Wow 🤩 I love it!!
Amazing, I love it. I hope she sees it too; first time I saw Latto was when Nicki posted her Chun-Li remix.
Now that’s genuine homage! I love it I’m here for it!
