Nicki Minaj Receives MTV's Video Vanguard Award And Performs Medley Of Hits

Tonight, Nicki Minaj received the MTV Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV VMAs. Despite rumors of Drake, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Rihanna, or Latto presenting her with the award, it was just a few of her Barbras on stage with her. That feels about right for Nicki.

In her speech, she thanked a lot of celebrities, remembered Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Pop Smoke, and surprisely spoke up about mental health by saying, "I wish people took mental health seriously, even for the people who we think have perfect lives."

This is shocking considering her recent online behavior. But maybe she will start practicing what she preaches.

Before Nicki Minaj received her award, she performed a medley of her biggest hits that included Monster, Beez In The Trap, Chun-Li, Moment 4 Life, Super Bass, Anaconda, and her newest song Super Freak Girl. It was cute seeing Taylor Swift in the audience rapping to the Super Bass, considering she is the reason the song became popular after rapping it on a radio station.

Now, the performance was OK, despite that leg again finding its way up in the air, but what I could not get over was her look. I am sorry, but Nicki looked fck'n ridiculous. She looked like she was auditioning for a villain on a Marvel or DC Comic TV show. Who was she planning on fighting after the show She-Hulk or Bat Girl?

Nicki should not be out there looking like a 12-year-old while doing sexually explicit songs. That goofy-ass bow in her head, those contacts, and that makeup...smh.

Nicki has got to find a way to do her pink thing without looking like someone going through a mid-life crisis. Someone needs to be fired.
