Last night on I.G. Live with Nicki Minaj and Jesy Nelson was a hot mess. Nicki said so many eye-rolling comments that my brain had about 20 different think-piece ideas, LOL. But, I will spare y'all and quickly address one section of that live tonight and leave the rest for later. However, y'all can feel free to speak on any part that struck you.
To summarize for anyone who missed it, Nicki and Jesy addressed the Blackfishing allegations against Jesy and alleged D.M.s being sent to TikTokers by Little Mix member Leah-Ann telling creators to speak about it.
First, let me say that I was not interested in the Blackfishing story. Jesy is doing a white girl trend, and unless I feel it's in the Blackface territory, like with Cardi B for her Billboard shoot, I am rolling my eyes and keeping it pushing. However, I understand Nicki's inclination to defend Jesy due to them having a song together, and she may feel the story is affecting the success of "Boyz." But, in true Nicki Minaj fashion, she went about it all wrong!
Nicki Minaj gave herself the starring role in a matter where she should have been the supporting cast. It should have been Jesy doing most of the talking with Nicki inserting herself to say, "I agree" or "I understand." But, noooooo...Nicki had to be the H.N.I.C. and proceed to verbally attack another Black woman who at one time supported her when she was being dragged.
For Nicki Minaj to lecture anyone about speaking up on issues in a timely manner or forever hold your
peace was jaw-dropping for me. I know the woman who waited years to allege that former Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich "bullied her into silence" and was the reason for her lack of Grammys is not sitting on her high horse looking down at Leah-Ann? Furthermore, Nicki's speech is invalid because Leah-Ann did bring up the Blackfishing issue to Jesy before this most recent incident.
Also, when Nicki went off about people working together and parting ways and not trying to bring them down and allow fans and others to figure out who these people are...um girl. I would love for Nicki to take some of her own advice. That's all for now.

Nicki’s behavior for a while now has been very odd. I for one did not care about jessy Nelson and the blackfishing nonsens, had Nicki just kept it cute this would of not blown up so much in her face. I think Nicki's approach should've been why everytime I work with a female artist here come something old that could've been addressed before.
