Twitter Reacts To The City Girls' "Twerkulator" Music Video, Which Is Directed By Missy Elliott

The City Girls released the music video to Twerkulator, which was directed by Missy Elliott. The video has the loud colors that Missy is known for and the dance moments are reminiscent of their BET Awards performance. You know Twitter had something to say...

They need to go back to the formula that worked for them when they released Act Up that to me felt like them more so then the stuff they have been releasing lately!!!!! This video feels like it was made for someone else!!!

The City Girls look all over the place when they add choreography to their videos/performances. Like you can tell they’re trying but it just look forced. I’m mad that female rappers are judge more harshly and are expected to have 3 different flows, sing, and dance. It’s ridiculous. And what makes it even more ridiculous is that the fans do not SHOW OUT to stream and buy but have all of these extra demands.

Am going to be very honest and say I didn’t like the video too much. Missy is a legend yes but her style has not evolved too much and it’s very evident in this music video plus she tried to mesh her style with the city girls and it did not mesh too well in my opinion especially with the songs message. Make it no better the girls did not look too interested. I understand being very shy and whatever else it is but sometimes I myself in general feel like the city girls have poor work ethic. And it shows in their music and the effort they put into getting people interested in what they got going on.

Missy is very creative and I'm happy they pulled her in to do the video. I love the colors and vibrancy of the video but think it was more of a marketing tool to promote MCM, Ciroc and City Girls swim collection. I think the song is ok but should have had a better roll out. I also wish they would have at least showed a picture of soul sonic force.
