What is paying homage to you?

This paying homage topic is big on the female side of #Hiphop . One rapper has accused #NickiMinaj of not paying homage, even though rap legends have confirmed that Nicki did(I’ve posted proof).

Now, rapper #KashDoll posted a clip of her on the set of her upcoming music video “Chanel Slides”. Many fans pointed out that her hair looked very similar to rap legend #FoxyBrown hair from a past video. She then posted that she was just paying homage.

I feel paying homage is not copying another artist’s style. It’s verbally expressing your appreciation for what that person has done / acknowledging a person’s influence or impact in a hip hip.

I feel like the ladies have got to move away from Kym’s negative impact on hip hop. I just gotta keep it real. Everything negative on the women’s side of hip hop can be traced back to her jealousy and years of bitterness.
