On Friday, Travis Scott's Astroworld Fest turned deadly with eight confirmed deaths and hundreds of others injured. The cause of the deaths is unknown at this time, but there is plenty of speculation going around. Reports are saying that people were pushing their way to the front once Drake made a surprise appearance at the festival, while TMuthafcknZ is reporting that a mystery person was injecting victims with drugs.
Travis Scott is being called out by festival-goers who say the "Sicko Mode" rapper kept performing as fans begged him to stop while paramedics worked tirelessly on lifeless bodies. Travis issued a statement saying that he is "devastated by what took place last night."
This story is still developing and I will update if anything new happens.

Well, the lawsuits are starting to fly.
So far 3 concertgoers have lawyered up and are suing. Drake is reportedly included in one of the lawsuits. While some are windmilling for Travis Scott and chalk'n this up as normal for outdoor festivals, others are pointing to Travis's past history of inciting riots at his shows.
In 2015, Travis pleaded guilty to encouraging fans to jump barricades at Lollapalooza. He received 1-year probation for that incident. In 2017, he was charged with inciting a crowd to riot, where he also pleaded guilty. Live Nation apparently has a worse reputation when it comes to safety and I am sure that will be brought up in these lawsuits too.
I just want to say that people should not be worried about speaking out on this tragedy because they don't want be part of "cancel culture." A girl got dragged for suggesting she was going to boycott Travis Scott because she was aware of his history of inciting his crowd and Stefflon Don deleted a tweet where she called out Travis. It's sad that people are being bullied into being silent because Black men feel they are being targeted. If starting discussions that need to be had is now considered "Cancel Culture," then appoint me president.
Just to be clear, I am not saying Travis Scott needs to be "canceled" but there does need to be a discussion on if he needs to be held responsible for not helping deescalate a deadly situation.

That camera man that the media keeps showing was actually with Apple Music. And he was way in the back of the crowd.
Akademiks making things worse for Travis Scott.
