Kash Doll responded to a fan who was upset that her music never blew up. Kash Doll responded by says,
"Me too sis but fck ii, I guess my shit was trash." I guess Kash Doll doesn't believe in the power of the tongue.
Anyway, why do you think Kash Doll's music never really popped?

Haha I wanted to ask if you were dark skinned, but I didn’t know where you were from or if you had an issue with that term. I’ve picked up on social media that some people find saying “dark skin” offensive. Didn’t know if I was overthinking it. But you pointing out how Kash doll said in the strip club she was desired/the IT girl and didn’t think it would be a problem, in rap, is very naive. One of the issues with colorism is the stereotype (is this what this is?) that men would want to fuck a darker skinned woman all day, but will publicly “wife” a light skinned woman. So her being “desired” by men wasn’t th…
@Chloe - yeah I am dark skin (for those who hate being called dark, y'all would call me bRoWn).
I spoke on this before regarding Kash Doll. She came off like those negroes who think they are special snowflakes. Like they are the exception to the rule. I think she got this attitude from her stripping days. She spoke about how she was making so much money simply for walking into the strip club. She was that "IT" girl. I feel she thought it would be the same for her in the rap game. Instead of adjusting to the realities of the rap game, she decided to play Stevie Wonder to colorism.
Oh ok I get you. Well that was actually a part of the “hoopla” I mentioned in my first reply. I don’t think people like that she kept lying about her age &, the way she responded sometimes to people about it, made headlines. I understand why she had to lie about her age, but yes that created an on going conversation that took away from conversation about her music. As well as the fact that she was downplaying colorism. Especially in a time where all of these issues are in the forefront and we’re trying to bring it to light to improve the beauty “culture” we are judged by. That wasn’t smart. If anything she probably should have used…
@Chloe - I was talking about in general the issue of age or colorism. I was asking specifically about Kash Doll's issue with those two topics.
Colorism - To spite Asian Doll she jumped into her colorism conversation and downplayed colorism role in the success of female rappers. Months later, she said that a producer would not allow her to get a beat unless a light-skin girl was on it.
Age - She is lying about her age. It's been proven.
Well we all know colorism is a huge issue, especially in Hollywood. I was thinking about that in my first reply. Th e 90s had so many chocolate women rappers, singers, etc. I don’t think the fans had issues connecting with her because of shade of her skin, she’s beautiful! She also brought a style of rap that we need, because the women need all the diversity like the men. Her age? Doesn’t bother me. I’m also 32 so 🤷🏽♀️ I hate the way women are in comments talking about the women’s age as an issue. I know why she had to lie about her age. Doesn’t bother me. I wonder how the people that have an issue with ag…
