DON'T MISTAKE LATTO FOR A PAWN
As Nicki Minaj wages war on multiple rap girls, it is important to note that all girls are not created equal. Some are in better positions to defend themselves than others, like Latto.
While Nicki Minaj wants to distract people with Latto's album sales, which, as I have noted before, at 23
years old, Latto has accomplished more than Nicki Minaj at the same age, I am more interested in the men standing behind Big Latto.
As we know, there are rumors that Latto is dating 21 Savage. I think it could be someone on his team, but either way, she is connected and protected by that camp. Why is this important?
Well, do y'all recall in 2018 on Queen Radio when Nicki Minaj claimed that Cardi B stopped 21 Savage from featuring on two songs with her and from doing the music video for "No Flag?"
21 Savage denied those allegations.
That same year, Nicki Minaj did the Ella Mai "Boo'd Up" remix with Quavo. Well, 21 Savage was initially supposed to be on the remix, and when the song dropped, his team accused Nicki of doing some snake shit behind the scenes to get him removed.
So, Latto is linked to MEN, who are familiar with the games Nicki likes to play and can provide her with intel or, as Nicki would call it, "tea." Besides the personal relationship with influential people in the industry, Latto has the full support of her label, RCA, who tweeted that she was the GOAT when Nicki started ranting about that Jason Lee interview.
Does Nicki Minaj have the support of her label? At this point, I would not be surprised if Republic preferred Coi Leray over Nicki. Having the Barbras is one thing; having industry support is another.
This is not about girls getting into the booth and giving us some real rap shit, it's about chess, making behind the scene moves, and then packaging it for public consumption.

With men of influence backing Latto, there are options regarding this Nicki Minaj mess. Since Nicki craves the approval of men, there could be a QC-type deal brokered between Latto's camp and Nicki's one-woman team, or they can remind Nicki how tough shit got in 2018-2019.
