DJ Akademiks and his "Chat Niggas" were talking about Cardi B's reluctance to drop her sophomore album. During the discussion, a "chat nigga" brought up the idea of Cardi doing a Lauryn Hill by not releasing a second album, so she does not risk ruining her legacy.
Now, first off, Cardi B is not Lauryn Hill. People want to connect her to L-Boogie so bad, but she is not in
so many ways. Second, I think it's really interesting that men, who usually spend their time dogg'n women, are concerned about protecting Cardi B's legacy. What is it with misogynist men always cape'n for Cardi B...Hmmm????
When I told y'all I have never seen a female rapper get the support from men like I have seen Cardi B get, I am not lying, and it has nothing to do with her being a great rapper or liking her music.
Anyways, what do y'all think of the idea of Cardi B just not dropping a second album? If she never drops another album, is she solidified in female rap?
Say Sumthing, Tap The Heart, and Share...Thanks!
People will criticize regardless. Just wondering if she’s dropping her album early 2022 or around summer time.
They need to stop coddling this woman, I think her sophomore album will be successful.
DJ Ak is so damn lame
Legacy? They talking like she’s a top tier rapper. She ain’t Kendrick etc. Her debut album was overhyped to spite Nicki because the singles I heard on the radio weren’t hype-worthy at all. That’s why I laugh when people give Pardi so much credit. His pen ain’t all that. But she mind as well drop it. I don’t think it will affect her in a negative way. I mean, “UP” went #1. UP! Lol she’ll be fine.
I think that she should go ahead and drop her album. I get she wants to make it perfect, but people are going to talk regardless.
