"Shake It" dropped 34 spots in its second week to land at #85. Cardi B continues to show that as a featured artist she doesn't seem to have the same chart success that she has as a lead artist. As I have said in the past, Cardi looks a lot different without that Atlantic Records/Industry push.
I have been hearing a lot of rumblings about people being over Cardi B. So, it will be interesting to see how her sophomore album does even with all the bells, whistles, smoke, and mirrors.
Megan Thee Stallion's "Plan B" debuted at #29 on the Hot 100, while "Sweetest Pie" featuring Dua Lipa rose 2 spots to #32. Megan not only has two songs charting in the Top 40 but two songs in different genres - Rap and Pop.
Say Sumthin, Tap The ❤️ , Share... Thanks!
And I guess Cardi is satisfied since the song charted longer than “We Go Up”. Lol that was the goal 🤷🏽♀️
I thought the song was too “hip hop” as well. To me, it sounds like an album filler. If she don’t release the video this week then it’s going to fall next week. I have a feeling she’s going to abandon this song. Her next single gotta be a crossover rap song
