Honey Balenciaga, the energetic star of the second season of the sadly short-lived HBO Max series "Legendary," recently took to Twitter to express her gratitude to the dedicated fans of Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion. Honey also tweeted, "PS. I miss Megan and that beautiful, infectious smile."
Let's talk about "Legendary" and how it DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE on two fronts.
Firstly, "Legendary" made stars. How many reality competition shows can honestly claim the same? While these talented ballroom performers were already known within their communities, this groundbreaking show gave them the mainstream recognition they deserved. Look at Honey Balenciaga now, sharing the stage with Beyoncé on the Renaissance Tour. Am I going too far to say that is a door "Legendary" opened?
Secondly, "Legendary" showcased that Roc Nation may know what the fck they are doing with Megan Thee Stallion. Personally, I am skeptical about female rappers participating in judging shows early in their careers. But hindsight being 20/20 and undefeated, it turned out to be a stroke of brilliance for Meg and Roc Nation. It not only provided her a good look but connected her with Law Roach. Can I get an AMEN! So, perhaps Desiree Perez and the Roc Nation team know a thing or two about this management shit...LOL!
Speak, Heart, Share...Thanks!
