Tory Lanez Motion For A New Trial Denied: Justice System Says, 'No Remixes Allowed'

Tory Lanez Motion For A New Trial Was Denied. He Will Be Sentenced On June 13th, 2023.

REMIX DENIED!

On that fateful night in 2020, Megan Thee Stallion reminded Tory Lanez, 'You're Not Poppin, You're Just On Remix.' Now, the justice system is echoing those sentiments. Just a day after Lanez pleaded with Judge Herriford to not ruin his life, his motion for a new trial was swiftly denied.

This outcome comes as no surprise, considering Lanez's legal team appeared to be on shaky ground from the very beginning. Reports from the May 8th courtroom proceedings suggest they were as clueless as Tory himself when he practically confessed on the jailhouse phone call. Their arguments for a new trial fell flat, leaving the judge with little choice but to deny the motion.

However, what has truly set tongues wagging today are reports of Lanez's legal team filing a motion to disqualify Judge Herriford. First, they toyed with Shawn Holley's reputation, and now this? It remains unclear on what grounds they hoped to stand, but it's evident that this move was nothing more than another desperate attempt to delay the inevitable: sentencing.

With the motion for a new trial denied, Lanez's fate is sealed. Deputy D.A. Alex Bott spoke after the hearing and suggested that the minimum for time for Tory Lanez's case is 9 years! Didn't I tell y'all I wanted around 10 years. God is a woman!

The judge will sentence Tory Lanez on June 13th at 10:30AM, and Lanez will finally "Dance Bitch." I hope this moment sends a message to the men in the industry. A change is coming.
