Nicki Minaj publicly presents herself as a "sticks-n-stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me" type of person. So, I was surprised to see that Nicki admitted that Lil Nas X denying his barb heritage did "sting" her. One thing you can't say about Nicki Minaj is that she does not love her Barbz.
Now, let's talk about Lil Muthafck'n Nas X. Lil Nas X was a "head barb" or a level 10 whatever stan who rose to the top of the Billboard Charts with his hit song "Old Town Road." While he was riding his wave of success, he acted like he didn't even know who Nicki Minaj was and did a song with a woman who physically tried to attack her and spread lies about her in an attempt to ruin her career. Not to mention he is managed by Nicki's old management team Maverick AKA "snakes in the grass" AKA "Let's send Nicki to China for a fake show."
Lately, Lil Nas X has been trying hard to get Nicki's attention. He recently said he has a song he wants her to get on. I'm not saying Lil Nas X is trying to use Nicki, but I am suspicious of his motives. He has to keep a certain level of success after his record-breaking #1 hit song and Grammy, or he will be labeled a flop. So, he and his team may feel that it's smart to link up with Nicki Minaj since she is still on top and his mother. Wouldn't that make some great headlines NICKI MINAJ TOPS THE CHARTS WITH A BARB OR NICKI MINAJ USES BARB FOR CLOUT!!! (j/k)
Now let's be honest, if a female rapper suddenly started publicly trying to get Nicki's attention and then asked for a collab, Nicki's stans would be dragging her. Every female rapper has gotten attacked for the dumbest sh*t to the point many don't even want to mention Nicki's name. But, since Lil Nas X has a barb history, I feel he is getting a pass. I'm revoking all passes until Nicki Minaj gives a collab to more female rappers or delivers more solo songs. I don't need a Nicki Minaj and Lil Nas X song in 2020 or 2021.
I'm also sick of Lil Nas X using being gay for sympathy points.

I give him the side-eye. I never understood this thing where is you listen to Nicki Minaj or most female artists your gay.
Also to add on, someone made a great point on Twitter. Even when he came out as gay and had a interview with Ebro he was STILL denying being a barb. Now to me it I see it as at that point Nicki still wasn’t in great graces as far as the GP goes and he peers so he still didn’t want to attach himself to that OR he didn’t admit it because that Nas Maraj page trolled a bunch of people that he actually ended up working with and said terrible things so not even about being a Barb, it would be smart to detach himself from that.
But still he’s clout chasing and I don’t like using that…
Honestly I took her response as being passive aggressive like thank you for admitting it but I’m good. The way she worded it makes me see it that way, it isn’t Nicki Minaj when she truly forgives someone and wants to work with them.
But however while it was somewhat a cute moment, just like you talked about the benefit of the 69 collab, I feel as if the 69 one had few benefits, this collab will have NO benefits at all for Nicki only for Lil Nas. I mean let’s be real, what would Nicki gain from it. He’s not #1 anymore or even as relevant as he was last year and it seem like music wise his star…
the virgo in me would never! I hope she's like that too. hope she doesn't collab with him. I do hate the way he came at her cornering her for everyone to see. so if she doesn't she looks bad. I hate lil clout chasing nas!!! now he's going to use the barbs for his album rollout watch.
Just like racist use the flag as a shield to hide racism, I feel like Lil Nas X shouldn’t use being gay as a excuse. I feel like he could of denied being a barb without disrespecting Nicki , liking shady tweets and doing a song with ole girl 😒I think he denied everything because on the Nasmaraj page he said some foul stuff about people in the industry and these are the same people he started mingling with🤔but I personally don’t want the song but Nicki is a business woman, we shall see.
