Megan Thee Stallion Will Perform At AMAs and Debuts At #5 With Something For Thee Hotties Mixtape

BTS Will Perform "Butter" Remix With Megan Thee Stallion At The American Music Awards

Today, it was announced that BTS will be performing their "Butter" Remix with Megan Thee Stallion at the American Music Awards, which airs on Nov. 21. This will be the first time they perform the song live. This should be exciting for fans.

Also, congratulations to Megan Thee Stallion who scored her 4th top 10 project with "Something For The Hotties," which debuted at #5 with 33K first week sales. The mixtape consisted of fan-favorite freestyles, skits, and unreleased tracks. Chinyere Ibeh of The Depaulia wrote, "Her presence in the rap game is a force to be reckoned with, and “Something For The Hotties” only proves that.

While writer Shannon Moore pointed out, "Unlike many rappers today, this is a truly solo album. Megan completes all tracks solo, only featuring a voicemail from Juicy J in a skit. This is extremely rare today, seeing as Drake and Kanye West just released major albums chocked full of features. Megan’s point here is clear: she’s an independent woman who can hold her own. She doesn’t need features to carry her through and boost her numbers, she can do that by herself."

That is one of the things I enjoyed about SFTH is that it was Megan on Megan. I am so over these uneven collaborations that are just done to try to get STAN groups to team up. I am not sure why artists still do when oftentimes it fails.

It also must be noted that SFTH gets Megan one step closer to getting out of her slave deal with 1501 Entertainment.

Meg don’t have heavy placement on Spotify those sub playlist categories don’t help at all. You need to be placed on todays top hits for chart success which meg don’t have access too.

At the end of the day….the ALBUM - not mixtape flopped. It made no noise whatsoever. She is not as hot as people make her seem. Playlisting is saving her.

It don’t matter if Thot Shit and Body didn’t go top 10. What solo female rap song went top 10 this year and STAYED there besides Cardi’s song? Body and Thot Shit are still at the top of this years list. Yall so use to these flash in the pans(MASS BOIGHT) top 10‘s that y’all forgot about music actually having longevity. And Body and Thot Shit passed the test.
