Nicki Minaj's longtime DJ, DJ Boof, decided he give his 2 cents on female rap. He posted, "Female artist y'all really gotta step ya bars up and star-making music. Cuz some of this shit I'm hearing is terrible. Just Saying."
Lately, it's been popular for Nicki Minaj fans, who are mostly Pop fans, to complain about female rap and claim it's boring without her. My question is, with how vocal they have chosen to be, are they unwittingly raising the expectation for Nicki Minaj's next release? Does Nicki need any more pressure?
Ole Girl got two #1; no matter how I feel she got them, she still got them. Also, before Nicki left, she wasn't exactly dropping classics. As great of a rapper as Nicki is, I never felt she was pushing herself musically (since blackballing).
