Ladies, today has been a glorious day!
It's going down when a nigga like Tory starts talking about God.
I know y'all want to talk about what went down with Tory Lanez, and I do too. So, below is a quick summary to allow y'all to get your thoughts out tonight.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED:
Tory Lanez was found guilty of violating the protective orders preventing him from contacting or harassing Megan Thee Stallion and discussing ANY discovery evidence with an outside party.
I guess we should have taken Tory seriously when he tweeted he was "starting not to give a f*ck" about his gag order.
The hearing stems from a Feb. 23rd incident where DJ Akademik put out a false story claiming, "Tory Lanez DNA was not found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case." However, instead of admitting he got the story wrong, he double-doubled down and revealed that he saw with his own eyes discovery evidence that is under a protective order.
In court, Shawn Holley questioned DJ Akademik's intelligence by claiming, "If he had seen this document, he presumably would have got it right." Even Holley is telling this nigga he got it wrong.
I'm dead; I'm asleep.
A back and forth between Megan Thee Stallion and Akademiks started up after she questioned how he was reporting information about a court proceeding that had yet begun. Tory Lanez decided he wanted to defend Akademiks and not only confirmed that Akademiks was telling the truth about seeing discovery, but he also decided to address Megan. This is how he caught his violations.

THE D.A.
The D.A. was aggressive, and I love to see it. They had requested Tory's punishment be no bail or raised $5M. Unfortunately, the judge was not having, but as I say, a closed mouth doesn't get fed. You gotta try, but I had heard that due to overcrowding and COVID, the request was out of the question.
His bail was increased to $350K.
Most importantly, they did set a trial date of Sept. 14th...FINALLY!!!
DISTRACTIONS
Ever since the "Dance, Bitch!" story, there has always been some story put out to distract the public. This time it is allegations that a witness saw two men and a woman beating Megan up.
"Stogner also raised questions about the credibility of the eyewitness testimony, saying the man reported seeing two men and a woman physically beating Pete. He believed that they were trying to kill her. He said it looked to him to be a severe beating," Stogner testified. "He had mentioned that it was the two males beating the female on the ground."
I really do not know what to make of this story. The way it is written is not entirely clear, and I would think there would be more charges if this were true. But, I will say that people had no problem spreading that Megan was whooping everyone's ass in a drunken rage. So, I ain't mad if they spread this story.
If there is any truth to this story, then the situation for Megan was way worse than we imagined. It also brings back Holley's comments about Tory telling the cops he was protecting his girl; it was never clear what he did to protect "his girl" and just how far he was willing to go to "protect his girl."
Just how violent did that night get? We will find out starting in September.
