LATTOCHELLA PT 2
Latto's second weekend at the Coachella Music Festival was a hit, proving that her impressive performance the first weekend was more than luck. The rapper exuded the same confidence and stage presence that had everyone talking, and her cute outfit only added to the allure. During her set, Latto brought out Chicago rapper Mello Buckzz to perform one of my fave songs of 2023, "Boom Pt 2,"
showcasing her support for other up-and-coming artists.
Latto had planned to bring out Yung Miami for a performance, but unfortunately, ROC NATION!... Oops, I mean, traffic caused her to miss the show. Additionally, it remains unclear why LU KALA did not appear to perform "Lottery" as previously anticipated. However, despite these setbacks, the show must go on, and that is precisely what happened. Latto, showing maturity and a desire to move past the Coi Leray drama, gave her a shout-out after performing "Put It On Da Floor," by saying, "Hey, Coi, by the way, I love your body, baby."
LATTO THEE PERFORMER - TEYANA TAYLOR
Well, one of the reasons for Latto's growth as a performer is her partnership with Teyana Taylor, who revealed on Sunday that she is Latto's Creative Director. Taylor's Aunties Production, known for its work on music videos for Monica, Queen Naija, and Macy Gray, is behind Latto's recent performances. This move of working with Teyana, a creative woman, highlights the importance of choosing collaborators wisely rather than just giving spots to those with social media followings and the ability to "spill tea."
With Latto's Coachella performances under her belt and the support of Teyana Taylor, I can't wait to see what she gives us the rest of 2023.
