The highly-talked about 3rd collab from Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj, Trollz, dropped tonight on all
platforms, including a music video. As of this post, I have not seen or heard the song, so I cannot say if it was worth it...for Nicki. I am sure it was for 6ix9ine.
What I want to talk about is the Instagram Live between Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine that occurred before the song drop. Tekashi 6ix9ine was dragging Meek Mills for going at him and Nicki...again. We all know that Meek is OCD when it comes to Nicki and jealous when it comes to 6ix9ine. So, apparently, Meek took shots at both, along with Future. I did not see any of this, but I don't find it hard to believe.
6ix9ine went on his IG Live and expose Meek for working every day with a DEA informant, Desiree Perez, who is now CEO of Roc Nation. 6ix9ine may or may not have gotten some of his intel from a post I did. I cannot confirm or deny, but that is what the streets are saying...hehehehehe. So, when he hopped on Live with Nicki Minaj, she decided to she wanted to give her 2 cents on the whole "snitching" hoopla.
Nicki said, "This is the music business, and I think we're confusing the two." She said she feels street n*ggas have every right to feel how they want to feel about snitching because they lived that life. But, RAPPERS needs to play it easy because if a top executive rat called one of these unsigned rappers right now, they are signing. Did she lie? We know if Desiree wants someone to be at Roc Nation...they going to probably go to Roc Nation.
Nicki Minaj could not have addressed the whole "snitching" thing any better than she did. She did not beat around the bush. She remembered she was not just speaking to her "Barbz," which is an issue I've had with her in the past when speaking on matters concerning the culture. So, there was no baby talk and uncontrollable laughing that often makes people tune out. She reminded me of the Nicki I want Hip-Hop to see more of. The articulate Nicki that gives it to you straight no chaser.
