Sunday Roundtable Discussion: New Media Has Taken Major L's, So What's Next?

With Tasha K's $4M loss to Cardi B, Jason Lee's Hollywood Unlocked being flagged as a false information page, and DJ Akademiks caught not only misleading readers but hopefully the reason Tory Lanez faces contempt of court charges; "new media" has taken major Ls in 2022.
As expected, all three have decided to double down on their missteps instead of just offering up a retraction and apology. Tasha K has already gotten her punishment; we will wait to see the fallout with the other two bozos.
So, I just want to hear y'all overall view on "new media," specifically those in the tea spilling sector, and what's next for them. Here are some questions I have:
Where do you all think "new media" is headed?
Why do you think they all rather risk their platforms than just retract, apologize, and move on?
Will there need to be 1-2 more lawsuits for the rest to get it?
Is their willingness to lie the main attraction to these types of blogs?

I think that a few more lawsuits need to happen before some of these “new media” people actually get it. I don’t even be think Jason will ever take accountability and just issue an apology. As far as Akademiks, I really hope the DA brings this up in court. The defense thought they could pull a quick one, but Akademiks dropped the ball. After this case is over, I hope Megan sends out lawsuits cause it’s sickening how they’re basically harassing her and putting out misinformation.
Also, the fact that the DA took time to respond to HipHopDX and noted how they are “legally prohibited from commenting on the evidence and will continue to legally abide by that obligation” may have been a shot at the defense and hint that they will be talking to judge about this matter.
I would love if the L.A. newspapers did a story on this since mofos want to play media games.
Tasha definitely took her L 🤣 and Instagram is letting you know Jason Lee blog is spreading misinformation. The ak situation will be interesting because he basically let everybody know that Tory and his team are going around blogs showing “evidence” that hasn’t even been brought up in court
I REALLY want akadummy held accountable for that shit he pulled...and honestly this is nothing new it's just being called out more these celebrities are tired and I don't Blane them sue them all.
